Welcome to Fit 4 The Fight.
Meet Danielle, the founder of Fit 4 The Fight, though she also goes by Dani. She is a tactical physical therapist contractor embedded in a special warfare unit of the Air Force.
Dani earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in 2012.
After working at several outpatient private practices, she started working at D1 Sports Medicine which was later acquired by EXOS. It was there that she became a clinic director, as well as an EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS) and learned the importance of the 4 pillars- Mindset, Nutrition, Movement, and Recovery. Today, she considers these 4 pillars the most important aspects to consider when evaluating an athlete.
In 2018, she utilized her advanced knowledge, skills, and experience to become a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS).
Over the years she has learned many other skills and treatment strategies through experience and continuing education courses. These include dry needling, IASTM, cupping, FMS, and SFMA 1 and 2. Taking advantage of her time off during the COVID pandemic, she also recently became a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. You can read more about that on the Nutrition page.
Dani currently resides in Raleigh, NC with her fiancé, Alex, and pup, Kaiser. She commutes every day to Pope Army Airfield at Fort Bragg. She enjoys working with tactical athletes and helping to keep them in the fight. To read more about what it’s like to be a physical therapist contractor to the Air Force, read this blog post.
In her free time she loves to travel, hike, play sand volleyball, and visit different breweries.
She is excited to share her experience with you and answer any questions you might have about any of the 4 pillars mentioned above. If you want to hear about any topics in particular or have any specific questions, visit the Contact page and send her a message.
Cheers!
